Cow Project
1985 in the Vogelsberg, Hessia, Project of the group Formalhaut, concept Ottmar Hörl

The cow project is landscape oriented. It assumes observing a herd of cows in nature and thematisizes the recognizable structures and motions. One of these structures - the parallel arrangement of the cows - is the basis for the position fixing of the housings which relay the natural movement of the cows and due to their design make the momentary constellation visible. Overlaying the cows with the transparent housings merges the natural situation with an artificial interception. The design principle is developed as an open esthetic system. Formalhaut (1986)
